18 acres
Public land at risk
Nearly half the park would move behind construction fencing.
Mass action / Bellweather City

01 / Why we rise
A mature canopy cannot be rebuilt on a spreadsheet.
Linden Park is Bellweather’s last unbroken stretch of public green: 42 acres, 860 mature trees, one creek, and no paywall. It cools three neighborhoods, catches stormwater, and gives the city room to be loud, soft, strange, and together.
Now a closed-door land deal would hand its eastern half to Arc Meridian Group for luxury towers and private parking. Their renderings keep a decorative ribbon of lawn. They call that compromise. We call it subtraction.
The council votes on September 18. Linden Rising is the moment before that vote when our numbers become impossible to crop out, talk over, or file away.
02 / Read the fine print
The proposal sells a public ecosystem as an empty parcel. These are the numbers underneath the polished glass.
18 acres
Nearly half the park would move behind construction fencing.
317
Canopy that would take generations, not seasons, to replace.
0 spaces
The 640-space garage is reserved for private development.
5 to 4
One changed vote keeps the deal from moving forward.
Their plan is not inevitable. It is a proposal, and proposals can be stopped.
03 / One day. One line.
A joyful, nonviolent mass action with music, art, food, legal observers, and a clear demand: withdraw the sale.
Free cardboard, paint, stencils, and screen printing at North Gate.
Access check-in, legal briefing, water refill, and welcome from youth organizers.
A 1.4-mile accessible route around the land marked for sale.
Three minutes each from a student, a creek ecologist, and a longtime neighbor.
Music, community meal, banner drop, and a citywide photo from the west hill.
Block-by-block cleanup and buddy walks to transit stops.
04 / What is possible
Not nostalgia. Evidence. Public green space makes room for movement, shade, friendship, and dissent.
A route that moves bodies without moving cars.
A skyline is healthier when it leaves room for roots.
Public space is social infrastructure.
When the future is discussed, the future shows up.
